Danger "to both federal officers & protestors, bystanders, immigrants & US citizens derives from the violent tactics being used by federal forces... rather than from the tools observers are using to document this behavior,” EFF’s Cindy Cohn told Fox News. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/organized-technological-ice-resistance-groups-posing-growing-danger-warns-former-top-nsa-dhs-official
Organized and technological: ICE resistance groups posing growing danger, warns former top NSA, DHS official

A former high-ranking NSA and DHS official is warning of the growing threat of coordinated and technological anti-ICE resistance endangering operations through digital sabotage.

Fox News
@eff haven't gotten a lot of sleep lately but I'm confused by this post, is it the "violent tactics being used by federal forces" that are dangerous or the ICE resistance groups? The post text says the former, the headline says the latter. More specifically the headline says exactly what I would expect Fox News to say and seems to contradict the post text? Am I misunderstanding?
@oay @eff The EFF is saying that Fox News’ article is incorrect (if one is being charitable) or blatantly lying (if one is less charitable).

@eff

> Baker told Fox News Digital that though he is "pretty skeptical of most of the technology that these groups are thinking they can use," it does show that "they are remarkably organized."

Perhaps those state actors need to take a long look at themselves, and their role in a democratic society, when citizen political opposition becomes "...remarkably organised".

Cause, and effect. Worrying times

@eff
Holy shit, I’m sorry you had to listen to this nonsense from these idiots at Fox News. But thanks for trying to counter: who knows, who knows, maybe this can even help „convince“ the one or the other viewer (but maybe that‘s just wishful thinking on my part)
@eff our constitutional rights are so dangerous!!!
