My second book was Floating Hotel by Grace Curtis (narrated by Lauryn Allman).

The many guests and residents of the Grand Abeona Hotel are dealing with many small mysteries. The characters criss-cross and overlap, dipping in and out of one another’s stories.

Side note: it’s adorable and ridiculous that The Shots You Take (2025, also by RR) is basically fanfic of a specific scene from The Long Game. Reid wrote fanfic of her own fiction. I love it.

@clacksee I think "This was fine. Entirely readable. But I craved something extra.'

I think i've read all of her books and I could copy-paste that as my review for basically all of them.

@masukomi
No shade to the author. Not every book is for every reader.
@clacksee yeah, she writes a particular thing which seems to sell. it's not bad, and massive props to her for finding a formula that people like reading and - i hope - she likes writing.
