Liveblogging today's work but on my blog (it's a bit too extensive to do it here), will point to it when finished. #ChurchChoir
By golly it's finished! Now finish the blog post, then some grocery shopping, then find a sensible way to put away all the things for different tones that were at the back of the binder but don't really fit there (probably in the weekdays-in-Lent binder, in a section of their own).
And voilà! That's about 5 hours of solid work, less than I expected because the latter part turned out to be easy(ish) (or I had a good workflow by then) https://valdyas.org/irina/fo3/church/heres-why-i-love-my-work-part-3/
Here’s why I love my work, part 3 – Found Objects

Found Objects: filtering the world

@irina I laughed at "St Mary of Egypt is my Nemesis"😅 I now have the mental image of her following you to tell you what a depraved human you are.

(I hope her day isn't too bad for you this year!)

I also remembered that I have an Annunciation fic idea. But I don't think I'll manage to write it in time.

@quidcumque She follows *all of us* around to tell us what depraved humans we are. All of us Orthodox, anyway. I'll probably be able to bear it better after all this work because I've been immunizing myself.

@irina I wonder whether she teams up with St Augustine for it!

I do hope she does it to the people who deserve it as well.

And I do hope you can bear it better this year! I don't know, feelings of utter depravity tend to sneak up on me whatever I do.

@quidcumque There have been a few years that Fr T didn't allow me to attend that service (with my full consent, of course) but now I can't very well stay away or the choir will falter. They can do ordinary things without me now but not yet intricate things (but I'm training them!)
@irina does it help to have a job to do in the service, instead of just being there as a member of the congregation?
@quidcumque It helps to be in charge of the choir rather than just being in the choir! I've never been in this service as just a member of the congregation.
@quidcumque
"You take care of the Catholics, Gus, I'll do the Orthodox"
@irina the Protestants get Calvin, of course.
