KaiSoundtrack for today's run was Green Day. I think it's time to admit to myself just how much I enjoy this album still.
Jake in the desert@BonfireAtNight yesss this will always be my favorite of theirs. It's the only one of theirs I can do all the way through. Came out when I was 14. With all the OTHER amazing albums that came out in 1994 🤯 Total classic.
@jake4480 I was born in '88, so I wasn't there for Dookie, and I suspect it must have been a very different sensation in the US. But it was among the first bands I ever liked.
I still have a soft spot American Idiot, because it was all the rage at the time I finished high school. I really don't know why (it's not a time of my life I'm generally nostalghic for), but for some reason I still remember these days very vividly, and it feels like Green Day was always playing in the background.
@BonfireAtNight oh nice! American Idiot is REALLY good too- some of their more recent ones have been.. VERY weird 😂 there was one I heard the other day where I guess they did a garage rock album? Didn't even sound like Green Day at all! 🤯
HarriO)))@BonfireAtNight A good reminder to maybe some day to buy that Woodstock 1994 live album of theirs. I haven't really listened to them since then, but Dookie was one of those seminal albums for teenage me.
