@eniko that show really snuck* up on me. I didn't like it at first, watched it just in curiosity. The broad comedy (and drinking) felt immature to me. Somehow that veneer of unseriousness enabled the heartfelt messages of the series to get through. It's so hard to find sincerity these days. It's like they committed to being foolish & anachronistic, used the immaturity as counterbalance, & in so doing they got away with putting corny heart into a space show! 🥹

@RMiddleton @eniko I feel it greatly improved halfway through Season 1, like normally the kind of improvement you see once you get to the next season. Then Season 2 got even better!

I stopped watching after the first Moclan episodes. I was convinced to give it another try, skeptically, and ... Wow. That storyline went places and did some real work and had some real thought put into it.

@eniko they are pretty great! the first one felt they dug themselves into a hole and since then it feels they’ve been “digging up” and exploring interesting ideas along the way. Its kind of impressive!
