Well, adding to the litany of broken promises, the Labour Govt. will despite previous commitments fail to pass the so-called Hillsborough Law, which is intended to create an obligation for public institutions to be candid & transparent with public inquiries.

Of course, there will be 'reasons' but one might also wonder quite how committed the Govt. is the measure?

The prime minister had promised to pass the legislation by 15 April 2025, to mark the 36th anniversary of the disaster.
