So looking for information on heat pump experience in the Eastern Ontario climate.
Anyone have anything to share with someone thinking about a switch? We're on an outdoor wood burning furnace right now.

@AnnieBuddy I'm in New Hampshire and have a heat pump for part of my house. (In the main part of my house, I heat with a wood stove.)
The heat pump does VERY well down to about 15F/-10C. From there, it gets less efficient. It will always pump out heat, but it doesn't keep up below about 0F.
In your case, I would consider keeping that wood burning furnace available as a secondary source of heat on the coldest days/nights, but other than that, I highly recommend a heat pump!
(ymmv, of course!)
Thank you!!
