consumed
by rivalry,
never look
any further
than the hill
sad
lonely
forgotten
upon which
we stand
to define
ourselves,
we limit our
challenges
to the safe
known
visible
well-trodden
pathways
that will lead
strangers
to mountains
on the horizon.
