My assumption is this is commentary on semiotics and the general tendency within consumerism toward hyperreality?
I ask because i mostly associate the 'post-modern' era with the specific critique of those sort of grand narratives but the panel transition seems to imply that post-modern philosophies are 'the master's philosophies'.
I just wanted to make sure I'm on the same page.
@irick Maybe a joke that academic theories that loosened the relationships between symbols and their meanings led us to a place where our culture politics wars are dominated by or waged through words and symbols that do not have or are not meant to have a relationship with reality, maybe!
