AGHHHH I started a new one because this one is just too big to match my characters. I'll keep it around for now and one day probably have to simply recycle the materials for another project. Or maybe I'll create something that needs a big heavy tail.

This is my new prototype. Now when transferring it to plates, the joints between plate segments will lengthen the shape. So I might cut them out a bit smaller. And keeping this angle somehow intact through the process is suuuper crucial. If too heavy or off-angle, it will touch the floor.
Interestingly I heard that wetting and then drying leather with heat will harden it. I'll research later, cause it would be cool to replace the plastic with something organic... But it might be not sturdy enough or too heavy. :/

The Stearic Acid seems to be the strongest method. God this is exciting. I hope I can make use of this.
