I've learned things about air filters. The most important is that those tiny USB bedside filters with HEPA-rated filters are basically garbage. The higher the HEPA or MERV rating, the harder it is to push air through the filter. If you want higher filtration efficiency (higher HEPA/MERV rating), you either need stronger fans or more surface area. Your filter will either be loud and small or quiet and huge. You could also get a filter with a lower rating, because let's be honest, the majority of people do not need a HEPA-16 filter in their house. You're better off dropping that number down and pushing more air through your filter to increase your air changes per hour. As long as your filters are physically capable of scrubbing the particulates you want to scrub, you'll get the best results by moving as much air as practical per unit time. That's why Corsi-Rosenthal boxes are so great. You have a pretty big fan pulling lots of air through a filter

@PepperTheVixen Yes, and I do recommend people to get high flow, low resistance, good quality, allergen filters like Car A/C inlet filters and combine them with like 200mm #Noctua #Fans into Cosi-Rosenthal - Boxes to maximize airflow and still yield excellent HEPA ratings without a lot of noise.

Obviously that will be a bit more tricky and require more DIY skills but on the flipside should yield excellent results.
