As consumption of processed meats like sausages and bacon increased in China, rates of colon and rectum cancer deaths rose, particularly among men and people born after the 1960s.
Mortality went from 0.23 to 0.32 per 100,000 people; disability-adjusted life years increased from 5.83 to 8.57 per 100,000.
