@AccordingtoWouter I know some Iranians use it for family. I just wish they would urge their families to use different tools as well but I know people see this as a fringe issue even though it is key.
NotBlackMagic@resl @AccordingtoWouter I've had that conversation where I complained that the queer dance scene in my area mainly communicates via Instagram and WhatsApp. (Hence I'm also there, because...we live in a society.) And the response from one organiser to my suggestion of Fediverse was ignorant interest, they simply did not know of the alternatives. Maybe there's hope.
