"In under three weeks, an unsupervised AI agent deployed by someone who didn’t want to make a Wikipedia account created an incident which took multiple admins and a dozen editors a non-trivial amount of time to resolve, and then its operator didn’t so much as shrug… AI is many many negative things, but one of the most frustrating is that it allows people to externalize responsibility for their actions while managing to effortlessly cause a disproportionate amount of disruption."

@acka47 Welcome to the future. We assumed that Skynet would be sending robots to kill us, but it's more likely that a slop-feedback loop will kill the human race by encouraging people to drink bleach, and they'll be too reliant on AI to realise what they're doing.
@acka47 I didn't mean the car to drive into that bus queue, I only got into the back seat for a minute...
@acka47 ban these people from ever using a computer again
@acka47 imagine 6-18 months from now when it's easy enough that people who "roll coal" can do this. Hopefully it'll cost more.
@acka47 Turns out you can legally violate the CFAA by just saying Claude did it. Amazing.
