Chris Waugh Did a petrol run this afternoon. Pak'n'Save Upper Hutt had signs up saying they were all out of 91. Quick check of the Gaspy app then up to the Waitomo on Fergusson Drive. The first pump had a thing on the 91 pump saying they were out, but the other pumps were all open and had 91. Do they have multiple tanks? Anyways, filled up, considered filing for bankruptcy.
There were cheaper options, but not much cheaper. I perhaps could've saved a couple of cents if I'd remembered I do have a card to get a discount at Caltex, and had filled up there. Otherwise anywhere cheaper was far enough away that whatever I'd saved and more would've been burnt up in the extra travel.
I live close enough to work to walk, and the bus service along Fergusson Drive is good enough....
