SF did a test install of a neckdown on Kirkham at 9th. It worked great, just like a bunch of similar installations in the Presidio. Unfortunately a bunch of whiny babies cried about it and the city removed it. The replacement went in today - a speed hump.

@jef they made the space between the islands too large and the curbs too low, poles too thin. Whoever was responsible for replacing it with a speed [suggestion] hump has no place in the leadership of a city.

@enobacon @jef yeah I really hate this design of speed hump - it's training drivers to swerve into bike lane to go through divots
