Preparing some slides on my favourite topic of the moment - #HippocampalReplay - for some colleagues, starting from lecture slides I made about 8 years ago...
and I keep crossing stuff or adding "BUT see xx" or "actually not" or "Now controversial!" to about half of the results that I was taking from granted 8 years ago 👀

Is there any such thing as a scientific fact?!

A lot of in vivo neuro is decidedly shaky, not to say flaky. But there is solid work, too.

@BorisBarbour I can think of several examples indeed in my field! and unfortunately the most shaky findings are often the most remembered..
