Imagine this in Australian cities!? I can, but not in the current reality where car-centric brainworms dominate.

Imagine the innermost few km of Sydney or Melbourne where the only vehicles on the road were public transport, taxis, delivery vehicles, and commercial and trades. Repeat this around every major suburban hub.

@trib @kottke I found central Paris great to walk through, the bikes are in clearly marked lanes, most cyclists obeyed the lights and not having cars everywhere made a massive difference. Sadly, Australia doesn’t have the appetite 😢
