We're going to an exhibition game in Baltimore this weekend-- Orioles vs Nationals.

If you're not from around here, you might not appreciate the context. For many years, the only MLB team near DC was the O's. And for a generation, folks near and in DC rooted for the O's. But when the Nationals brought the MLB back to DC, it forced fans to choose-- and it split families. If you go to a Nats/Orioles game, you are going to see plenty of mixed groups of fans, some wearing O's gear and some wearing Nats. Some people wear both!

In May of 2021 I walked around shooting mixed groups of Nats/O's fans. I don't know any other sports franchises where the fans are so happy to be together. Nationals/Orioles games are special.

@killick Like a Celtic-Rangers match, so.

@marcas

Are you talking about Scottish football, then? I confess I only know about the Celtics because my son told me a tale about drinking with some Celtics fans in NYC. (Obviously, he survived, or he couldn't have told the tale.)
