Kristoffer LawsonUnnecessary tech part 34: Bedside lamps with touch activation. After figuring out how to turn on this stupid hotel lamp, I find it has three modes:
1) On. Ok, this is what a bedside lamp is for. The touch interface added nothing but at least it’s now operating.
2) Extra bright. Did Jesus just land? Hurts eyes, disrupted sleepiness.
3) FLASH blinking ON/OFF. WTF?!?! Who asked for this? Who approved this? Who would EVER want this??? Now fully awake and contemplating meaning of life.
