Believe it or not, this isn't #Meshtastic or #Meshcore

It's #Reticulum
That's right, Reticulum is finally running on microcontrollers and there's so many ways to do it:

(for the record, if you want something actually stable, secure, and mature, I'd still go for https://git.quad4.io/RNS-Things/MeshChatX or https://github.com/markqvist/nomadnet instead, at least for the time being)
MeshChatX

A Reticulum MeshChat fork from the future.

Ohhh finally a UI? Will try it.
@Linux_in_a_Bit Oh cool! I was actually looking for more mesh implementations in C++, to draw inspiration for a separate project.

@Linux_in_a_Bit This is AMAZING!!!
Have you been able to send messages from Ratdeck to Meshchat or MeshchatX?

Also the MeshChat 2.3.0 Appimage does not seem to work well with Pyxis but MeshChatX works well.

I do not like MeshChatX to much tho some parts of it are just to much vibe code for example the translator in the tools is a seems like out of place clutter and a bit worksformeâ„¢ to me.

@fredy_pferdi
I haven't, but I believe the creator of Ratdeck has (that's who sent the screenshot originally).
They're in the Matrix channel if you want to ask: https://matrix.to/#/#reticulum:matrix.org (@dude.eth:matrix.org)

MeshChat is not being kept up-to-date very well anymore so I would recommend sticking to MeshChatX as it currently runs the most recent version of Reticulum.
(or you could build MeshChat yourself, it's not that hard; I have a script if you want it)

@Linux_in_a_Bit Thanks for the link.
I currently build meshchatx as a flatpak (still has some issues) and plan to create a merge request. If I find the time I can create a flatpak based on your build script if you can share it somewhere.

BTW. secureblue without fuse2 so no appimages for me.

@Linux_in_a_Bit Seems like there is already a repo by someone to build a Flatpak and update dependencies: https://github.com/mattiasegly/flatpak-sideband

My script is basically just a quick bash thing for running MeshChat in the browser. Probably not terribly useful for your purposes I take it. 😅
@fredy_pferdi
Definitely reach out to the MeshChatX developer to see if you can help get it released as a Flatpak, I think a lot of people would like to see that.
@Linux_in_a_Bit Tried pyxis today, worked quite nice over lora. Calls crash it tho. Was not able to get it to work with columba over BLE. Sadly I live in a really densely built area quite low so bad for radio testing. The signal only reached around the house but the system seems more stable than the T-Deck Meshtastic UI and simple messaging and works quite well.
