@nextcloud Are conversations used for training by default and is opt-out genuine or buried? How long is data retained and under what legal jurisdiction? What happens to your data if the company is acquired?

Is your question about AI tools in Nextcloud? If yes: we are not an AI provider, and everything depends on the model or service you are using with Assistant.

On our end, we let people choose, and rank supported models exactly by those parameters: training data availability, open source code, ability to host locally. And you can avoid setting up AI at all, if you don't want it in your platform.
