America is like an apartment complex. It's constantly being bought out by people you never heard of, the rules are always changing, no one can reach the management, and maintenance hasn't been seen in a while. But if you're late with rent, the cops will fuck you up and they'll make you homeless.
@gwynnion And the people that die because of the broken elevator, get remembered at the charity events happening in the penthouse (fortunately they have a helipad and don't need to use the elevator).
@gwynnion And then they'll round you up in concentration camps because being homeless is effectively illegal. >:(
@gwynnion I think this is the best analogy for the state of things I've ever seen.
@gwynnion so I live in an apartment complex inside of an apartment complex (state) inside of an apartment complex (federal).
@thejacenallen Typical American extravagance.

@gwynnion I live in a rented appartment in Ukraine and none of problems mentioned ever took place here. Managment is active and cares about utility functions even when there is no power. We had elevator and water powered by community funded diesel generator.

All the othee dynamics are opposite. People are leaving constantly, the rules are fucking same, cops can't enfore shit,
But rent must be paid.
