@fastmail What makes people leave? Or repels them in the first place?

Hosting email in the US where there is no right to privacy and where the rule of law doesn't exist.

@samueljohnson @fastmail yeah. Fundamentally FM does NOT have my trust while they sit in US servers. I believe they mean well, but I also know they are largely powerless to properly protect my data.
@pictor @fastmail They could, perhaps, like Bitwarden, give customers a choice. I expect to move ahead of next renewal if they don't.
