@SVR_Migration Dear SVR, I am wondering if there are any research or statistics on how many immigrants in Germany have changed careers because: a) their qualifications were not recognized by the German authorities, and/or b) they could not find a job related to their former professions or studies.

Thanks for your request. Last year we published a policy brief on the
potential of teachers and educators qualified abroad and challenges on their path into educational practice. It evaluates the integration and support measures taken to date, highlights examples of good practice and formulates recommendations for action to improve the recognition procedures and create prospects for qualified employment.
