Turns out you can actually buy third party Apple Watch dock and use it with Xcode. The debugger actually works now compared to the wireless development stuff 😂
@khaost !!!! Oh my goodness I’ve been trying to find something like that for years. I heard legends of them within Apple (and in Apple Store repair rooms) but never could find one for purchase.
@khaost did you also need to buy the iMFC software? Or for debugging was just the docking box enough? This is amazing, thanks for finding it!
@_Davidsmith One minor callout is since the dock is mostly designed to flash software, trying to interact with the device is a little weird (as moving the device a few CM off will cause it to disconnect), one might have to 3D print a mount so the watch can be fixed in the optimal position for connectivity without worrying about moving the watch disconnects it.
@khaost Amazing, I've ordered one and can't wait to give it a try.
@_Davidsmith @khaost where do you order it?
@qzervaas @khaost I found I could order one from a UK phone repair shop by searching "iBUS X Tool”. There were countless slightly shadier looking ones on things like aliexpress, but your results may vary. I wanted to find a store locally to hopefully be more confident it is legit.
@_Davidsmith @khaost yea I could only find a couple of Chinese sellers for about $900 AUD
