Although I am often critical of Transport for Greater Manchester (e.g. their inability to run public transport on match days which doesn't massively interfere with the 90% of people not going to the match), the Bee Network has been a big success, and shows what can be done if you devolve power and money to local areas (I am basically a unionist + devolutionist, we should stick together but take most decisions locally).

@pwaring these improvements are great. Even though of little direct benefit to me it makes #Manchester much easier to use

@boggits Not sure if that's true in all cases - e.g. the UK has union and devolution but isn't federalist (and I do not support having different tax rates in London and Manchester for example).
