Greg Harvey 🌍The #Drupal Association just asked us for $5,000 out of the blue. No plan cheaper than that was offered. Insane. The market is flatter than a very flat thing, nobody has any work on, and the DA rock up and ask for a quadruple raise in annual funding. What planet are they on?
Natalie@cainaru There was a PDF doc explaining all the things they would do with the money and why we should pay it, and a list of plans (starting from $5,000) and that was about it. I get they need money, but it's just enormously clumsy to send a company like ours an email like that, out of the blue. It's an enormous hike in membership fees and we don't only support the DA. Paying that would mean we'd have to stop supporting @ddev, #OpenSSL and LocalGov Drupal. Probably no DrupalCon attendance either.
