I love that concept and I want to build a webring connecting indie author pages - especially if those pages have their own store.

We need to become independent from big tech. And webrings are a great way to build a trusted community for readers, at least from what I understand.

So... umm... how do I do that?

(I maintain my own website on WordPress.)

@Firlefanz someone I follow was talking about writing a new webring code snippet just recently. There's no reason we can't just do it by hand. It's just "alice links to bob, bob links to carol, carol links to dallas" etc. The tricky part is NOT basing it around a google doc or a facebook group etc :)

Edit: I might have been thinking of https://codeberg.org/robida/human.json

Ediit: or possibly https://webr.ing

Ediiit: maybe it was https://taggart-tech.com/ringspace/

Edivt: coulda bin https://docs.octothorp.es/webrings/

human.json

A lightweight protocol for humans to assert authorship of their website content and vouch for the humanity of others.

Well, there's CryptPad that might work instead of Google Docs, but I see what you mean.
