It's scary.
I was surprised to see so many slow moving 'boring' projects listed.
It's definitely guiding my choices moving forward.
It's a signal. I will swap out the low hanging fruit. I will eye skeptically things that are more critical to how my computer works (like systemd).
I heard someone likening it to a smell. :)
For sure, no more donation to these projects.
I can't buy into this productivity BS need for FOSS.
I don't think it's a purity test to merely add a label that says "this software was made with the same tools that the government uses to bomb schools full of children."
Much like recency of pull requests, downloads, sponsors, stars, whatever you have this is another signal that people can use to evaluate whether a tool is worth using for them.
If maintainers don't want to be on the slopware list, don't let the slop machine into the codebase.
