The Sleight Doctor 🃏🍉@maeve_bkk Tell acolytes of (what they imagine to be) unfettered capitalism, that capitalism and free markets are mutually exclusive concepts, and they'll look at you as if you just peed on their foot. But why do they think all the economic "libertarian" think-tanks are lavishly funded by shady corporate monopolists, frustrated by the regulations that restrain their ability to exploit the rest of us?
Because capitalism is about resource capture, extraction and rent-seeking, not free enterprise.
