Qatar’s Ras Laffan industrial site has suffered extensive damage from an Iranian missile attack.

@newsguyusa

Iran is desperately trying to draw the whole Middle East into a full-blown war. Hopefully, the other nations will resist the offer and keep playing defence.

@chris

Yes, Iran.

The US (well, Trump) wanted to bash Iran and walk away, but Iran is sending missiles all across the Middle East, and not just to US bases; they're targeting services and infrastructure in other countries as well.

@newsguyusa

@PeterLG @newsguyusa no argument there, but the USA (the advisors anyway) and especially Israel knew this was going to be Iran's response. The blame lies squarely with the initiator not the one doing exactly as it said it would in response.

I don't support the Iranian regime of course, but this has been foreseen and telegraphed for decades.

The conclusion has to be then that it was Israeli and US administration leaders who suddenly cared not about creating that wider Middle East war.

@chris

Israel and their useful idiot, Trump, are absolutely to blame. There're good reasons why past Presidents haven't moved on Iran.

But Iran stands to benefit from this war, and taking the opportunity hit hit other ME countries that they don't much like is a bonus. If those countries hit back, escalating the war to the region, they get to play victim at home, strengthening the regime.

@newsguyusa

@PeterLG nice try, shitraeli scum

@cultdev
Wow, insulting, too stupid to read or understand a simple post, and using anti-gay slur.

Seen better trolls here. 🤷

@PeterLG

@mndflayr nope, not anti-gay at all. gay people are a lot better than you are (slight probable exceptions in thiel, altman, etc)
