Hey! Democratic Candidates! You keep sending me fundraising texts and I keep STOPing them. Here's why:

Of course you are not trump. I can assume that. It's nice that you are former whatever. It's not important. Yes, you are in a tight race. We all are.

What I want to hear from you is what you believe in. Are you committed to universal free healthcare? Ditto child, maternity, and elder care? Will you reform our government: abolish Electoral College; end filibuster; expand Supreme Court; Impeach/prosecute corrupt politicians; Rein in overreaching executives; Raise minimum wage; Support free public education at all levels; Fight the green fight? etc etc

Tell me what you believe, what you will fight for. Otherwise. Just. Stop.

IE: AOC, Sanders, Abugazaleh, and Mamdani.

@mralancooper right?! "I'm not Trump" has worked exactly once, with Biden, and hasn't worked before or since.

But "believing and standing for something" has worked basically every time. All I can surmise, if you're not telling me what you believe in, is that you're pretty sure I won't like what you stand for and you know what, you're probably right? Soooooo.

@mralancooper 100% agree. I’m saving my money for the fighters.

I’m blocking all of those texts though in case one is a malicious link (genAI is a menace in this regard). The link domains are all over the place.
