Nothing against #French people, but literally the only people that reach out to me in a foreign #language (besides English and German as it's obvious I'm located in Germany) are French.

If you open an #issue, you want sth from me, so make sure I understand it.

Do you think it's harsh to ignore these issues or ask for an English translation?

I would definitively prefer a polite request over just ignoring them.

If it contributes to the project and the person is not able to do that on their own, I can lend a hand translating French to English or French to German, just let me know. 👋

Thanks for the offer, though it's more about the principle: Someone asks you for help, so you follow them, but they don't keep any door open for you, besides them just walking through that. It's not a huge difference if I use the online translator or them. But I find it disrespectful to some extend. And additionally, only French do this. I've literally never seen another language in my mails/issues that I don't speak.

You've got a point there.
I wouldn't go as far as calling it disrespectful but probably a lack of cultural awareness.

Let's see the positive side: French authorities and public services are waking up and are massively promoting privacy friendly software.
Someone in a teacher training institution there might have stumbled on your quiz tool and that might have spiked interest.

I'll get back on this tonight if I can....
