“We have server rack at home”

#homelab

I got the pc used for 35€ and it makes a good server, they put efficient power supplies in office PCs, and left out power hungry parts like a graphics card
Also HP just made a nice PC, it’s fully serviceable without any tools. The case comes open with a single lever, cpu cooler, pcie slots, even hard drives fully toolless

@phos It holds 19'' hardware, it counts as a server rack.

There's a reason Lack Rack is a thing 😉

Would also count for 10'' hardware.

@phos I'd forgive it if it was made of plywood, and not chipboard

@phos Nice rack. 😜

I bought a full-size, 42U rack for the garage. It weighed 100kg and 4 grown men put it in my minivan at the place I bought it. I got it home and was like “fuck.”

I did manage it in the end. Your solution is more practical. 😛

@phos

You already have the cables coming out of the wall. Might was well go all in on structured wiring.
