A ★★★½ review of undertone (2025)

Evy is a podcaster who is caring for her comatose near-death mother. She does the podcast with her friend Justin - who we only hear. It’s called The Undertone. And the podcast is about all things eerie. So, when a mysterious person sends her and Justin an email with ten audio files of a pregnant couple who experience paranormal noises, Evy becomes haunted by them. Justin believes they have secret meanings and it involves a demon named Abyzou. This is a decent horror thriller and one of the things it does well, given the topic of the film, is the
