The #Mac #Neo has some fancy exploit-proof technology to make a light show on the screen whenever the camera is on. So if the camera is turned on by an unintentional or malicious process and you're looking at the screen and the light doesn't blend in with the background, you'll know the camera's on and can wave to whoever's watching!

Somehow that still doesn't seem as good as a piece of tape that lets you control whether the camera is on?

@solitarywalker if only an LED could be powered in-line with power to the camera. I know, science fiction stuff, but a guy can fantasise.

@wordsmith That's simpler but still solves the wrong problem. The real problem is the camera being on when it shouldn't be, not the user's awareness of that situation.

I have Dell and Framework laptops with a hardware switch.
