@RonJeffries I think the issue is that those who are smart enough to recognize this problem are not those making the decisions. Again, the technical folks will be "pooh-poohed" for not being sufficiently willing to try new things (which is ironic since a lot of us suffer from major "shiny new object" syndrome).

I think that wise, respected, high profile tech folx can speak freely against these evils right now. I think that organized tech workers could begin to resist, and to refuse, as a group. Individual teams could slow down, "work to rule", right now.

It would take courage and time, for sure.

Resistance starts with each of us.

@RonJeffries @onorio the company I work for has drunk the koolaid. I refuse to. My current manager knows I refuse to. I'm just hoping to get a little closer to retirement before the higher-ups try forcing me to, 'cos at that point, I'm out.
