I visited my little #gundi friends last month, so here's a #WhiskersWednesday and #WildlifeWednesday two-fer. If you're into the sad beige mum aesthetic, this is your spirit animal. 😬

Gundis are about the size of a guinea pig and native to North Africa. They're also known as comb rats, because their hind feet have comb-like bristles between the claws. And, just like last time I saw them, these little shits expertly hid their hind legs so I'm starting to think the whole comb thing might just be a crazy marketing idea.

this smells of Pandagate all over again πŸ€”
πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ The fact that there's a 90s movie about this (Fierce Creatures) really should have been a dead giveaway! πŸ˜‚
ohmigod, you’re right 🀣
BigGundi's market research landed on "comb feet" as an attribute that was intriguing enough to boost their SEO ratings while plausibly invisible enough to get them through at least three market cycles.
πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Brilliant, that makes so much sense! Plus, they could launch an "introducting more teeth" campaign every quarter and none would be the wiser. πŸ€‘
The ears almost look like a second set of eyes if you squint hard enough.
You don't even have to squint, the ear holes are comically big compared to their button eyes! πŸ˜
