CarrylI’ve come up with a ranking of Griffin’s main characters based on range of expressions. It seems too judgy to post on the blog. I think of Gabe first, but Luke also went to a few dramatic places so maybe they tie for first.
Jack is funny, happy and occasionally angry so he’s next and Sam alongside him (maybe less dramatic, but can be quite fun and cheeky). Monroe gets upset, but not so extreme in other emotions. Though sometimes he reacts in a quieter way, but still deeply. Quinn also not so extreme, being quieter and sadder in some ways.
Younger roles since I think of the six above as the older group, starting with Rafe, he’s close to Sam and Jack. Charlie and Danny are happier more of the time so probably below Quinn. And then Mason, he has some big emotional times, so up there with Luke and Gabe.
I suppose that’s more judgment on the characters than Griffin who I thought did a great job with all of them.
