For someone living in france, what’s french oignons where you live 😋? Just french or is it some specific type?

It’s a cut, not a cultivar, that’s probably better known as Julienne cut. Sausage sellers often have onions as one of the toppings for their sausages and it’s never not delicious.

So sliced finely I guess.

If you do that, finely, it makes for the best ever fried onions (salt them and be generous with the olive oil and almost burn them for a while. Like 5 min or more ).
