Okay posting this here too: the Boston Fleet are playing the Toronto Sceptres tomorrow in Boston proper (NOT Lowell). The crowd is doing a green out for St Patrick's day, but it is also Evacuation Day, and specifically the 250th anniversary of the British leaving Boston in defeat. I think the Fleet should acknowledge it at the game because they are sponsored by MA250 and a sceptre is a very monarchical item. In any case, I've never been a sign maker, but I kind of want to make a sign for the game now?! Not sure exactly what I should put, but I love an excuse to combine Massachusetts history and hockey.

If anyone has wording ideas they wouldn't mind me using, please share. I'm very much still percolating. My partner suggested "Sceptres evacuate the arena" but I worry that not enough people will know about the holiday and find it too agressive?

Or wait, should I do something like, I hope this Noble Train (picture of Alina Müller on her roller skate guards saying toot toot) makes the Sceptres evacuate Boston?

I worry that it might be a jinx, but the best I have come up with so far is:
BOSTON (with the Fleet logo as the B)
Defeating Sceptres on March 17 since 1776
Happy Evacuation Day!

That's also probably still too wordy as a sign, but it's still shorter than my previously stated ideal which really would require the wikipedia explanation for most people.

Okay, well the Fleet lost, but I think that has more to do with everyone being injured and Raygan Kirk having a good game than me having the power to jinx things. Still had a great time.
