bbbhltzNice one. Science Fiction is my favourite too. I wish I had been encouraged to read as a kid.
sotolf@joel @alexandra Yeah, I've been reading sci-fi for years now, and I really love the genre, it's nice in a way because it feels like a I can really dream myself into a different world, rather to have to deal with the world that is, which kind of is just what I want from a book :)

I also have to say that I love sci-fi too, even though I don't read it as much these days. Jules Verne was one of my first favorite authors. :)

@syl this was fantastic! A lot of my favourite sci-fi also comes bundled with horror—especially cosmic horror like in The Expanse or Hothouse can have.
And of course, the original Parasite Eve novel was great there
@joel Thank you! Sci-fi horror is great, and the Parasite Eve novel is on my to-read list! It's one of my all-time favorite games, so I definitely want to get around to reading the inspiration for it in the future.
@syl I was so crazy for the Parasite Eve franchise, read the novel, watched the Japanese movie and countless essays, and I never got past the hospital rooftop in the game 😭
I need to return to it...
