hey fedi are there any open source content management systems that handle e-commerce well and have companies that host them just out of the box like they do with wordpress? i don't want to use wordpress it is hell too me
i want to see if i can make a web store that doesn't make me mad all the time
ideally i would like to have a web store that is mobile responsive but actually feels like when we build shop websites to be user friendly because people have the option to use a different website if yours pops up too much bullshit
@nora magento comes to mind? tho it's been a while since i've last used it and even then i think it was on the more complex side

There are plenty of plugins and a thriving group of developers. I've always found it far more user friendly. It's more complex though—not in the sense of user-friendliness but in its ability to do lots of things.
