The talk schedule for PyCon 2026 is out, and it seems to be missing some things. I have thoughts, and wrote about them on my blog.

Mitten | Can we talk about the PyCon schedule?

In which we read what Laura has to say.

@mitten I hope you still consider attending and maybe be inspired to run an open space for Artists using Python.

If so, I would love to attend.

@mitten can I humbly recommend #NBPy as a place that embraces fun and humanity in the #Python world, and also happens to be California-based and at a similar time of year?

North Bay Python 2026

Schedule, talks and talk submissions for North Bay Python 2026

@mitten Fwiw, I didn't watch many talks from last year, but I did stumble on your talk and quite enjoyed it.

If you don't make it this year, I hope next year has a program that's more inviting.

@mitten even though I'm presenting technical topics at PyCon, I echo some of the sentiment here. I also very much enjoyed your talk last year, and I do hope to meet you again in the future.

If you or any other artists make their way to LB this summer, be sure to say hi!

@mitten Very disappointing! As someone who is transitioning from web developer to creative weirdo who also programs it is going the opposite direction that I am.
@mitten Also I am glad I clicked to your web site, it is beautiful! Especially the title header!
@mitten @bitprophet that’s a huge bummer. but I get it.
