Once I opted for an unencrypted drive, Solus was up and running in barely 9 minutes, one of the fastest distro installers I've used yet.
The longest part was updating the system using Discover; I'll opt for using eopkg in the future as that was blazing fast and surfaced a lot of useful info.
Got Distrobox running in probably five minutes, it depended on Podman, so using eopkg, I satisfied that dependency in about 5 seconds. Not even zypper is that fast, impressive. Installing the Ubuntu image to run was took up the most time.
I'm probably going to focus on learning the Solus way, while learning to program. As that will stimulate my brain quite a bit.
Speaking of programming, continuing with Boolean algebra is next on my list.
