Yesterday, I installed #Zorin on my desktop PC. It went smoothly and I love the ease with which the Zorin connect feature works. The only thing that I am having trouble with is games. I used to play Supergiant's Hades Game on Windows 7. On Zorin, it has so much lag that it's unplayable. I don't know why. #Linux makes me feel like a noob again after 30 years of using computers LOL
I guess I'll figure it out eventually but if I can't play Hades and Hades II, I'll be very sad.
@AimeeMaroux Another thing to test is the Proton version. In my experience, older games tend to work better with older versions of Proton. I had problems with Rocket League. Installing version 9.0.4 made it run without problems. You can install other versions and forks through Proton Plus. It's available on Flathub.
@raphagm Thanks! I have to admit, I'm not even sure if Proton comes with the installation of Heroic Launcher or if I have to install it separately by myself. The Heroic Launcher ran a bit glitchy overall but I tried Lutris and it was slow as fuck there as well, so maybe it is the Proton version (or lack thereof).
@AimeeMaroux Yes, it comes with it. Unless I'm mistaken, it's not the official Valve version, but rather Proton-GE. However, with Proton Plus you can install several others, including the official Valve version, both on Steam, Heroic and Lutris.
