Andrew Deacon@alt_in_uk US law does not apply to the EU/UK, American ideas of free speech are valid only in the US. The EU/UK can make laws for themselves which the US cannot override. What part of this do the American law makers not understand?
@aadeacon if I understand this correctly, it's between two US parties, i.e. the US house judiciary committee and 10 US companies. As far as they are concerned, this is a matter entirely contained within the context of US law.
The scary part is that we've all known and accepted this under the auspices of 'free trade' and 'special relationships' as some kind of inter-continental gentlemen's agreement. Now it's over.
