Does anyone know what's happened to the UK DNS privacy project?
Looks like the domain is being squatted.
Finding UK alternatives for digital products, platforms and services.
We need a UK based digital service infrastructure. Services that support rapid innovation, as well as growing and scaling businesses. Our hope is that, by mapping what exists and highlighting the gaps, we can begin to create an ecosystem that delivers what we need, here in the UK.

Time for an Easter update, as we've been a bit quiet over the last couple of weeks.
Don't forget - if you know a UK alternative to Big Tech, drop me a comment or add it to the directory yourself!

The Trump administration is now using tariffs to shield Big Tech from regulation. This week, Senator Elizabeth Warren published a letter to the US Trade Representative demanding to know why the White House threatened European countries with trade penalties after they investigated Elon Musk's xAI for generating millions of sexually explicit deepfakes.
Friday roundup. What a week.
This week the House of Commons Library published a formal briefing on digital sovereignty. Meanwhile, European publishers demanded the EU wrap up its two-year probe into Google and impose a fine. And the UK's Cyber Security and Resilience Bill will soon bring 900+ managed service providers under mandatory security obligations for the first time...

I did think people would be more interested in a US house judiciary committee press release.
Lol - talk about burying the lede. I'm such a doofus.
Now will someone tell me that #digitalSovereignty isn't a big deal?

This is precisely the kind of thing we're talking about, when we're talking about #digitalSovereignty - even if Palantir wasn't a very dubious organisation, we still shouldn't be sending our citizens data to overseas orgs. The risks are too great, and the outcomes are permanent.
Not wild about this "intelligent dependence" concept of #digitalSovereignty seems to wholly misunderstand the potential threat. Especially given the change in the world in the last 2 years.
