Tunisian judicial authorities issued a prison order against seven activists linked to organizing the Freedom Flotilla to break the Gaza blockade, on charges of money laundering and forming a criminal network.

Lawyer Sami Ben Ghazi stated that five of the activists had already spent ten days in detention before the hearing, and the main charge is forming a network for the purpose of money laundering, a charge that has drawn widespread criticism.

The case is linked to the Freedom Flotilla initiative, which faced Israeli interceptions and attacks on the ships, including a drone strike at Sidi Bou Said port, with Tunisian authorities opening an investigation without revealing those responsible.
